1,000 hours is the amount of time our students spend in our classrooms every school year. At MCS, we are committed to making each student’s 1,000 hours count for eternity.
In every classroom, in every chapel service, in every conversation or experience, we are intentional about training students to be confident of the truth, convicted to lead, and committed to Christ.
Our vision for the new high school has been designed with our children and grandchildren in mind. The new academic building will allow us to significantly improve the high school experience as we add 16 state of the art classrooms, featuring modern learning spaces and innovative technology in each room, along with unique designs for programs such as the Career Academy and Media Production. Rooms for intervention services, study rooms, counseling offices, and admissions are included, along with a new cafeteria exclusively for grades 9-12.
Quality space for the fine arts department is long overdue and we are so excited to build new rooms for the band, choir, art and theatre courses, alongside a new 1,000 seat auditorium. This multi-use auditorium space will not only provide a more worshipful space for weekly chapels, but also allow us to seat all of our families together and welcome the community to programs such as music concerts, school plays, commencement, orientation, and special programs with community-wide interest.
If you have attended a junior sporting event in the current junior high gym in the last 10 years, you know full well that we have outgrown that gym for middle school students. We have designed a new high school gym with expanded seating, larger locker rooms, and a new state of the art weight room and training facility for our student athletes. The new HS gym will allow us to move our middle school sports programs into the current secondary gym, and use the elementary gym for grade school gym classes, indoor recess, and intramural sports.
We have a new vision for the existing building that will expand the elementary program, improve our day care, and introduce a new middle school to the MCS experience.
The Capital Campaign will help us achieve these goals:
Our new middle school facility will live in the existing building and will meet the unique educational needs of children at this age.
All K-8 students will benefit from:
That also means no more K-8 classes in modular units!
