What Is the EdChoice Scholarship?

The Ohio EdChoice Scholarship provides families with a scholarship which can cover 100% of tuition at Mansfield Christian School. There are two types of scholarships, the Expansion Scholarship which is income-based and the Traditional Scholarship based on current school building performance.

And, once you’ve enrolled, the scholarship is good for your child’s entire school career.

New Legislation - HB33 Makes MCS Accessible for All

House Bill 33 has expanded the scholarship voucher program. Every family qualifies for a scholarship. The expansion allows parents to finally access the best educational fit for their child, regardless of where you live, your family income or the report card of the local school district. Private school is now an option for everyone.

How Much Is The Scholarship Worth?

The scholarship amount varies on a sliding scale. Everyone receives some level of funding. Families with income at or below 450% of the Federal Poverty Level or a family of four with a total household income of $135,000 is eligible for the maximum amount. Families with incomes above the 450% qualify at a pro-rated amount. The scholarship amount can cover 80% or more of the MCS tuition.
