Spiritual formation is the core mission at MCS. We have leveled each school division to a commensurate path for appropriate development. Daily Bible classes are just some of the building blocks to a Biblical worldview. At MCS, everyone rejoices in God’s glory and contributes to our mission. Our educators embody the curriculum, role modeling Christian values in every interaction with your child. Weekly chapels feature a member of our learning community as speakers, from students to faculty, local pastors, and recognized Christian leaders.

Fine Arts

MCS values artistic expression, and we offer a wide selection of fine arts to nurture your child’s creativity. At our school, we honor the ability for art to reveal the deeper layers of worship best captured in the moving works of music, drama, and visual arts. MCS students may joyously express themselves in a variety of creative ways, regardless of their perceived ability or initial confidence.

We strive for excellence, and we are excited to offer a comprehensive STEM program, one of the only two available at a private Christian school in Ohio. We offer a STEM program to equip our children to navigate a globalized, connected, and competitive world while understanding that technology and innovation can be used in Christian service to the world.

Media Production

The early years of MCS included a production arts component that was WVMC radio, a channel that expanded the school’s ministry and cultivated local support. Today, we continue the tradition of offering an outlet to publicly broadcast God’s glory through a partnership with RISE FM and our Media Production Program. Our new program values the variety of media available in addition to radio and expands our students’ options to learn about video production, marketing, public relations, journalism, and social media. Not only does our Media Production Program better address these career interests of students while providing Christian leadership in a morally complex industry, but it will serve as the media production department for our school’s marketing and advancement.

Athletics

We are the Flames! From secondary school in 7th grade to 12th grade, our students participate in any number of athletic opportunities from soccer and basketball teams to swimming, track, volleyball, baseball, softball and cross country. Competing as a Flame means students learn the responsibility to not only be representatives of MCS but most importantly, for Christ. At MCS, athletics is a discipleship opportunity. Coaches capitalize on teaching opportunities that point our students to Christ. Through athletics, our students are challenged to see the connection between our high spiritual, academic, and athletic standards as they are taught to conduct themselves in a way that often distinguishes them from their opponents. We give our students an opportunity to apply what they are learning at home, church, and school in a real-life setting. Excellence on the fields and courts supplements our overall philosophy and mission as we encourage student-athletes to use their gifts to glorify God.
