Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a great family activity and a way to make a child's Christmas special. Gather your family and fill an empty shoe box with school supplies, toys, hygiene items and notes of encouragement for needy kids overseas. Step-by-step shoe box packing instructions are available at www.samaritanspurse.org/occ. Volunteers are working to collect 6,100 gifts and 86 million gifts have been hand-delivered to kids worldwide since 1993. WVMC FM will be a collection point for the shoe boxes the week of November 14th. Here are three other locations: First United Methodist Church in Shelby, Ontario Free Methodist Church, and Park Street Brethren Church in Ashland.
