First Day of School Celebration

Wednesday, August 24, 2011 - 9:00am

The first day of school for all students, PreK-12, is Wednesday, August 24th, beginning at 8:00am. We will have a few events that morning to kick-off the 50th anniversary school year. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend with our students (we may need your help filling balloons)
• 9:00am All students dismissed for anniversary picture and balloon launch. Students are
asked to wear red or white campus wear shirts on the first day.
• 9:30am Dedication ceremony (front HS lawn); remarks by the Mayor, Mr. Culliver,
Superintendent, Dr. Smith, and Carl Key, former MCS administrator.
Open time capsule from 1971 in HS gym cornerstone.
• 10:00am Conclude with prayer.
