MCS Tuition and Aid
Making a Christ-Centered Education Possible for Every Family
Choosing a school is one of the biggest decisions your family will ever make. At Mansfield Christian School, we believe your child’s education should shape their character, strengthen their mind, and prepare them to live with purpose. And we believe this should still be financially possible for every family.
How We Make MCS Affordable
We combine several programs to bring your cost down through our comprehensive Tuition and Aid structure:
- EdChoice Scholarship – Up to $8,408 per student
- Need-Based Aid – Tailored to your family’s income
- Merit Awards – Recognizing academic achievement
- Ministry Discounts – For families in full-time ministry
Step 1: Find Your Cost of Attendance
Look for the program that applies to your child. The total due reflects tuition and required fees before scholarship and/or financial aid have been applied. Every K-12 student in Ohio qualifies for the EdChoice Scholarship.

Step 2: Determine Your EdChoice Scholarship
100% of MCS families qualify for the EdChoice Scholarship!
Determine if you are eligible for the Traditional (School district based) or Expansion EdChoice Scholarship (Income and household size based) by using the tabs below and the EdChoice Scholarship Calculator.
The EdChoice Program provides students from designated public schools the opportunity to attend participating private schools. The program also provides students who are entering kindergarten through 12th grade scholarship opportunities based on different eligibility criteria. The scholarship amount is $6,166 for grades K–8 and $8,408 for grades 9-12. Your child may qualify if any of the following apply:
They are assigned to or attending a public school on Ohio’s EdChoice designated list.
They’re currently enrolled in a school that qualifies under EdChoice.
They would otherwise attend an EdChoice school based on your home address.
They have a sibling who received a Traditional EdChoice Scholarship last year.
They previously received an Autism or Jon Peterson Scholarship but no longer need special education services.
They are a foster child or live in a certified foster home.
They live with a legal guardian, custodian, or are in kinship care (placed with a relative).
They’ve lived in someone else’s household for 45+ consecutive days and would have been considered homeless otherwise.
They live with another student who meets the criteria above for at least 45 consecutive days.
📝 You only need to meet one of these criteria to be eligible.
If your child doesn’t qualify under the Traditional EdChoice criteria, they will receive a scholarship through the income-based option. Scholarship amounts are up to $6,166 for grades K-8 and $8,408 for grades 9-12. Every Ohio student is eligible for the income-based EdChoice Scholarship. Award amounts are determined by your household size and annual income.
Award Amounts:
You will receive a full state scholarship if your household income is at or below 450% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
You will receive a partial state scholarship if your income is between 451% and 750% of the FPL.
📌 If you income is below 200% of the FPL, your child will qualify for low-income status and will have their MCS tuition covered in full.
📌 Families above the income limit will receive a reduced amount.
EdChoice Expansion Calculator
Understanding what you will actually pay should never feel confusing. Our EdChoice Scholarship Calculator makes the process simple. By entering your School district, household size, and income, you can see an estimate of the scholarship amount your family may receive. Most MCS families qualify for the full award, which means you may only be responsible for the fees shown in the cost chart above.
The calculator gives you a clear starting point so you can plan with confidence before you apply. If you have questions as you use it, our admissions team is happy to help.
Step 3: Explore Additional Financial Aid
After you apply for EdChoice, you may also qualify for other scholarships. These programs help families reduce their remaining balance even further. These options include leadership scholarships, ministry discounts, aid based on financial need, employment benefits, and funds created to help families who need extra support.
