Discover God’s Calling Through Service
The MCCAP Ministry and Missions Program at Mansfield Christian School equips students to explore their calling to ministry and service. Through classroom learning, mentoring, and real-world ministry experience, students grow in faith, leadership, and character while discovering how their God-given gifts can be used to serve others in Mansfield, Ohio, and beyond.
Foundation of Faith and Leadership
The MCCAP Ministry and Missions Program begins in the junior year with Character, Calling & Competencies, where students explore how God shapes their talents for ministry. Courses such as Leadership & Discipleship and Teaching the Bible help students understand the Great Commission, strengthen their communication skills, and develop a personal ministry plan rooted in biblical truth.
By their senior year, students complete a hands-on CAPstone Project, applying their learning in real ministry settings while being supported by mentors and local professionals.
Hands-On Learning
Mentorships
Each student is paired with a Christian mentor who serves in ministry or missions. Through monthly meetings and reflection journals, students gain firsthand insight into the daily responsibilities, challenges, and rewards of serving in faith-based professions.
Professional Connections
Guest speakers and ministry leaders share their experiences through class visits, equipping students to see the many ways God calls His people to serve. Areas of exploration include youth ministry, worship tech, grief counseling, and global missions.
Leadership & Service
Students engage directly in ministry by participating in chapel leadership, local outreach, and service opportunities that develop their leadership and discipleship skills in real-world contexts.
Capstone Experience
The final semester allows students to complete an internship within a church or ministry organization. Under professional guidance, they put their faith into action while building confidence and purpose for their future calling.

MCCAP Ministry and Missions Director
Dr. Cory Branham
I’m Dr. Cory T. Branham (Sr.), Junior Senior Bible Teacher, Ministry and Missions Director, and Varsity Baseball Coach at MCS. Teaching Bible and helping students discover their calling has been one of the greatest joys of my walk with the Lord. I knew from a young age that God was calling me into ministry, but I didn’t know how to take that next step, and it took years of prayer, study, and life experience before I found my way back.
That’s why this Ministry and Missions Program means so much to me. MCCAP bridges that gap for students who feel even a small pull toward ministry. We meet with pastors, missionaries, and Christian leaders, serve in the community, and lead chapels for all ages. Whether students pursue full time ministry or simply want to serve faithfully wherever God calls them, this is where they can grow in confidence, character, and faith.
