At Mansfield Christian School, the MCCAP Health Professions Program helps students explore the calling to serve others through healthcare. A Foundation for Future Healthcare Leaders

Students begin their journey with Intro to Health Care 1 and 2, gaining a strong foundation in medical terminology, anatomy, and the structure of modern healthcare systems. These classes introduce students to the variety of healthcare careers available today while highlighting how Christian values influence ethical decision-making in patient care.

From classroom lessons to labs and guest lectures, the MCCAP Health Professions Program helps students connect learning to purpose and explore how faith integrates with their professional goals.

Mentorships

Students are paired with a Christian healthcare professional who practices in the field of healthcare. Christian healthcare mentors provide the students with guidance, encouragement, and insight into their specific field of healthcare practice.

Billie Maglott

My name is Mrs. Billie Maglott, Director of MCCAP Health Professions. I teach Junior High and High School Health and bring experience as a Registered Nurse with a Master’s in Nursing Education and a specialty in Pediatrics. I have taught nursing students at multiple universities and continue to practice as an RN at Akron Children’s Hospital Urgent Care. I love helping students explore health, wellness, and the calling of healthcare.

My desire is for each student to grow in wisdom and a strong faith in Christ, as reflected in Colossians 2. Through the I SHINE principles of Integrity, Service, Holistic Care, Innovation, Nurture, and Excellence, MCCAP students learn to live out Matthew 5:16 in their work and daily lives. It is an honor to guide them in discovering the connection between faith and their future profession.

Thanks everyone on the team for making the first day of school drop off so wonderful. It was the best ever! From the student ambassadors welcoming us on the drive it to the warm reception by teachers and staff. Our family always appreciates all you do to make MCS shine and to kick off a great year for our grandkids!
