The Insider
2025-2026 School Year Theme
Every Hour Matters. Every Life Changes.
Because what fills their minds shapes their hearts.
Every school year, your child spends 1,000 hours at MCS. For Josiah, those hours became moments that shaped both his faith and his future.
He shared, “Last year in college algebra, I was struggling, and Mrs. Grube gave up several late nights to help me understand it.” He also spoke about Mrs. Baughman, who listened, encouraged him, and walked with him through both highs and lows. Through these moments, Josiah saw what it means to be cared for and challenged to grow.
Those 1,000 hours also changed how he lives. Josiah said MCS taught him to see others as “made in the image of God,” shaping how he treats people each day. That same foundation is guiding his future, leading him to choose a college where he can continue to grow in his faith.
This is the impact of 1,000 hours. At MCS, students are not only prepared for what comes next. They are shaped to follow Christ in every part of life.
Every Child’s Journey Matters
At Mansfield Christian, every program is connected to one purpose. We want to help each student grow in faith and be ready for what comes next.
Our daycare gives young children loving, Christ centered care in a safe place. As they grow, we have multiple programs that help families with flexible learning and support from MCS teachers. In high school, our Career Academy gives students real chances to explore jobs and discover what God is calling them to do.
We also want Christian education to be possible for families. Through EdChoice, many families receive help with tuition so their child can attend MCS.
From the first day to graduation, your child is part of one clear path. They are learning, growing, and getting ready to live for Christ.
Events
Talent Show
The MCS Talent Showcase was a joyful evening as 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students courageously shared their God given talents at OSU Mansfield’s Founder’s Auditorium. The audience enjoyed a variety of performances including singing, instrumental music, dance, baton twirling, drumming, gymnastics, illusions, and even a student solving a Rubik’s Cube in record time.
The night celebrated the creativity and individuality God places within each student. We are grateful for the students who performed, the families who supported them, and the teachers who helped make the evening such a special celebration of the gifts God has given our MCS community.
We love that your child’s first steps onto campus are filled with joy, connection, and truth. Every smile, every prayer, and every friendship that began on that day matters because those moments are shaping their hearts for a lifetime.
Spring Play
The MCS spring play Sound Effects brought laughter and energy to the stage as more than 300 guests gathered to enjoy the performance. The cast and crew did an outstanding job bringing this story to life.
The production reminded the audience of the importance of living with integrity. Congratulations to all of the students and staff who worked so hard behind the scenes and on stage to make this a memorable night and remind us all to live with integrity.

Winter Sports Senior Nights
On February 7th, the girls basketball program honored seniors Brooke Badgley, Adelle Cramer, Emily Davis, Zy’Eir Davis and Avery Johnson. The girls proceeded to defeat Central Christian immediately afterwards in overtime, clinching an undefeated league season and first outright Mid-Buckeye Conference crown.
On February 20, many more seniors were celebrated. Grady Heichel, an MCS senior and bowler for Lexington and cheerleaders Emma Docherty, Lillie Mowry and Sami Roll were recognized first. Then, the boys’ basketball senior crew of Landin Cyphers, Denver Elliott, Aidan Johnson, Blayne Morrow, J.R. Reeder, Josiah Schleusener, Hudson Stigall and Bryson Winemiller were honored.
Congratulations to all the seniors and thanks for all your efforts for the Flames!
Clearly Christian Rebrand
Dr. Smith’s podcast, Clearly Christian, was created to help parents and educators think clearly about faith, culture, and raising the next generation. Through conversations with Christian leaders and educators, it answers real questions about how to build a biblical worldview that lasts.
The rebrand introduces a fresh look that reflects the heart of the mission. Each episode is designed to equip families with wisdom, encourage confident faith, and help students stand firm in truth. We invite you to listen, share, and be part of what God is doing through Clearly Christian.
Work at MCS
New Hire Spotlight
Janelle Grube, Secondary Math Teacher
I teach Algebra 2 and our CCP math courses here at Mansfield Christian School. I have been married to my husband Mike for 25 years. We have four grown daughters, two son-in-laws and three grandchildren. This is my second year at MCS and my 25th year of teaching math. I absolutely love helping students understand math and the logic behind the math. Mike and I are members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sulphur Springs.
Why I chose MCS
I taught math for many years at Plymouth High School. I graduated from there. My daughters all graduated from PHS. After they all graduated, God put it on my heart to help more people see His light through me, but in His timing. When Mr. McKenzie asked me to join him at Mansfield Christian, I visited and heard an amazing story from a then Sophomore that prayed with a student from another school and talked about situations you cannot change. She shared what is important is how you react and how you let others see Christ through you. God’s timing is worth the wait and I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful family.
You can be part of this mission too. Consider joining us at Mansfield Christian and use your gifts to make an eternal impact.
