Giving Opportunities
Capital Campaign
Our most ambitious initiative in school history, the Capital Campaign is transforming facilities, programs, and future growth at MCS. With new classrooms, a high school building, expanded fine arts spaces, and athletic facilities, this campaign creates room for more students and new opportunities to thrive.
Tax Credit (SGO)
Taxpayers now have a cost-free way to contribute to the students at Mansfield Christian School. With Ohio’s new state tax credit, individuals who donate to a Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) can receive a dollar-for-dollar reduction in their state taxes up to $750. These funds can be designated specifically to MCS.
The Century Club
The Century Club fund allows the school to respond to pressing needs, such as system-wide maintenance and improvements, property and facility renovations, security measures, classroom resources, and capital projects. A minimum donation commitment of $2,500 annually registers the donor as an MCS Century Club member.
The Joseph Fund
Christian education is one of the most important investments a family can make for their child’s future, and we recognize the financial commitment. Some families have unique circumstances that may limit their ability to pay tuition. The Joseph Fund helps meet temporary needs of families facing unexpected financial hardships to stay at Mansfield Christian.
Other Giving Opportunities
Whether you invest in a building project, classroom resources, or an endowed scholarship, a gift to MCS is an investment in God’s kingdom.
Donations “in honor of” or “in memory of” an individual is an important way to acknowledge a special person in your life. This gift of distinction may memorialize a loved one, celebrate a special event, acknowledge accomplishments, honor a teacher or administrator, or celebrate milestones of life such as graduation, etc.
Planned giving contributions from retirement assets, charitable remainder trusts, annuities, insurance policies, and bequests benefit the school beyond a person’s lifetime.
Endowment contributions provide financial longevity for current and future MCS students, faculty, staff, and programs.
Many companies offer a matching funds program. MCS is an eligible educational institution receiving matching funds from various companies. Contact your HR or Benefits department to see if your employer participates in a matching funds program. Please be sure to inform the school of you and your employer’s participation.
Receive a tax deduction for the entire fair market value of stocks, bonds, or mutual funds by donating your investment directly to MCS.
(appreciated stock or real estate you have owned for more than one year) will generate a tax deduction based upon fair market value.
