The Insider Fall 2026
THE INSIDER
Stand Firm
Know Truth. Live Truth. Defend Truth.
This school year, Mansfield Christian is focusing on one clear call: Stand Firm. Our 2026-27 theme, 1,000 Hours: Stand Firm, is rooted in 1 Corinthians 16:13-14: “Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love.” Those words capture the kind of faith we want our students to develop, one that is grounded in truth, lived out with courage, and always marked by love.
Our students are growing up in a culture that is constantly shaping how they see truth, purpose, identity, relationships, and the world around them. That is why biblical worldview matters so deeply. At Mansfield Christian, we believe Christ cannot simply be one subject among many. He must be the lens through which everything else is understood, because Christianity is not an add-on to life. It is a comprehensive framework for understanding reality.
We have approximately 1,000 hours with our students this year, and those hours are not merely instructional. They are formative. Our goal is to use them intentionally so students learn to Know Truth. Live Truth. Defend Truth. We want them to leave Mansfield Christian prepared to stand firm in the faith, understand what they believe and why they believe it, and faithfully represent Christ wherever He leads them.
Past Events
First Day of School
Welcome back, MCS families! The first day of school marks the beginning of our 1,000 hours together, and every one of those hours matters. This year, we will stand firm as we learn, grow, and walk in faith, making the most of the moments God has given us. We are grateful for every student and family who is part of Mansfield Christian, and we look forward to all that this school year will hold.
Elementary Fun Run
Our Elementary Fun Run was a huge success this year! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our families and community, we raised over $40,000 to support Christian curriculum and provide valuable classroom resources for our teachers and students.
Our elementary students had an amazing morning racing their friends while tackling inflatables, exciting obstacles, and the always-popular Foam Bash tunnel!
We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this event such a fun and meaningful success. Thank you for supporting our students, teachers, and school community!
Pig Roast
Mansfield Christian's Annual Pig Roast was held on September 19th. A large crowd saw the Flames boys and girls varsity soccer teams walk away with wins over Highland as well as enjoy the free meal!
A soggy Comstock Field could not dampen the biggest community event of the fall. Thanks to Janae Stern and the Athletic Department for hosting as well as Heacock Farms, Berean Baptist Church for the baptismal (water cooler), and Alan Dinger for the tent as well as all the families who came out and took muddy and happy kids home that night!
Annual Banquet

This year marks the 65th anniversary of Mansfield Christian School! Join us Friday, November 6, at the Mid-Ohio Conference Center for the MCS Annual Banquet, an evening celebrating God’s faithfulness and our commitment to stand firm for the truth of His Word. Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO)
Turn Your Taxes Into a Scholarship
Last year was the highest year ever for MCS through the SGO program, with more than $120,000 received for student scholarships. That money directly helped families access a Christ centered education at Mansfield Christian.
The maximum tax credit is $750 per person or $1,500 per married couple, but you do not have to redirect the full amount. Even $50, $100, or $250 can help provide scholarships for MCS students.
This is not just another donation. It is a way to redirect tax dollars you may already owe to the state of Ohio and use them to help students at MCS instead.
We are asking every MCS family to prayerfully consider taking part this year. Together, these redirected tax dollars can make a major difference for students and families.
Athletics
Student Athlete of the Week
MCS sophomore Jacoby Dickinson was recently named the WMFD Brightspeed Student Athlete of the Week! Jacoby has scored 15 goals in just five games, helping the Flames win four of their last five and build momentum as the season continues.
During his interview, Jacoby talked about the importance of his teammates, how the season has gone so far, and what he hopes to accomplish in the years ahead. Two of his aspirations are to score 100 career goals at MCS, and in the future to play professionally.
Alumni
A New Opportunity!
Mansfield Christian School is forming an Alumni Association and we want you to be part of it! This is your chance to give back, reconnect with classmates, and help shape the future of MCS.
We're looking for alumni to help plan and host events like homecoming, reunions, and postgame gatherings. Stop by our booth at Homecoming to learn more, or reach out directly.

New Hire Spotlight
Brent Baker,
High School Media Teacher
I’m joining the team here at MCS as the Digital Media Teacher. I’ve been married to my wife Lindsay for 22 years and we have 3 sons, an amazing daughter-in-law and the most perfect little granddaughter. For the past 25 years, the Lord has blessed me with opportunities to serve in ministry in Canada and throughout the US. From working in the music industry, to teaching tech at the college level, to most importantly serving in ministry in everything from pastoral roles to production director. You may see my whole family at Storyside, where I still serve on staff as the Worship and Production Director.
Many years ago I made the decision to give my life to the Lord and to live this life in ministry to Him. I was blessed early on to read Warren Wiersbe and commit to memory “Ministry takes place when divine resources meet human needs through loving resources to the Glory of God.” I have been so blessed in my interactions with teachers, students and alumni at MCS. It’s very clear that MINISTRY is taking place as I continually see the Glory of God in all that is done. I am beyond excited for my family and I to be a part of the MCS family.
