The Insider: Winter 2025
2025-2026 School Year Theme
Every Hour Matters. Every Life Changes.
Because what fills their minds shapes their hearts.
At the annual banquet in November, MCS families shared the impact of 1,000 hours on their lives. Andrew and Danielle Dettmer described the Christ-like care their son David received during a long and difficult illness. Teachers stepped in with compassion and commitment, showing what it means to love students as Christ loves us.
Above: Calvin and Mindy Houser, new to MCS after moving from overseas, shared how quickly their four children found belonging here. The strong Christian community, dedicated staff, and like-minded parents made their transition exceptional. Their experience reflects the kind of environment your child steps into every day at MCS.

Annual Banquet Recap
The annual MCS Banquet was a God-glorifying evening with more than 400 guests coming together to celebrate and support the mission of Mansfield Christian School. Thank you to everyone who joined us to help advance the most transformative campaign in MCS history.
Capital Campaign Progress - Phase 1
Raised $7.7 million of $10 million • 77% to goal
Every gift brings us closer to the goal. If we reach $10 million by the end of this year, MCS will be ready to break ground on our new facilities in late 2026. Thank you for helping students grow in both faith and learning.
The 2026 MCS Talent Show showcases diverse gifts and skills among our 4th-6th-grade students. On Friday, January 30th, our students will perform at Founder’s Auditorium on OSU Mansfield’s campus. The show begins at 7 pm and features various acts. We continuously discover new ways to encourage our students’ God-given abilities. This event builds the next generation to use their skills for God’s glory!

History was made as the Lady Flames won their first District Championship with a 2–1 double-overtime win over Delta. Their teamwork and determination carried them to the regional finals, the farthest any MCS girls soccer team has gone. After every game, the Lady Flames invited their opponents to pray with them, setting an example of what it means to compete with faith and sportsmanship that reflects the heart of MCS.

A Fresh Look for Mansfield Christian
Over Thanksgiving break, we launched a brand new website created with families in mind. The site is easier to navigate and filled with information that reflects the heart of MCS.
Nothing will change on your end. You can still visit mediumvioletred-gazelle-354016.hostingersite.com to access the website just as before. The only difference is a more welcoming design that makes it easier to stay connected and see what God is doing at MCS.

Matthew Golias, Secondary Math Teacher
I’m so excited to be teaching at my alma mater, Mansfield Christian School! I attended MCS from Pre-K through 12th grade in the Independent Studies program, where I grew in both faith and academics. The flexibility of homeschooling allowed me to pursue on-campus opportunities like sports, CCP courses, and fine arts. After earning my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics from Wright State University, I worked in an office setting before realizing God was calling me to the classroom.
Why I chose MCS
God led me back to MCS with a clear purpose to reach students for Christ while helping them grow academically. I love God, I love these students, and I love math. Teaching here truly feels like coming home.
You can be part of this mission too. Consider joining us at Mansfield Christian and use your gifts to make an eternal impact.
